Light Pole Systems manufactures base covers to fit over any sized base or adapters for almost any pole. Extra-large base covers are designed to fit over Anchor Bolt Adapters, Custom Adapter Plates, Custom Light Pole Bases, or any other pole base that requires larger than normal covers. These covers are made taller and/or wider than normal to cover all base hardware and bolt repairs.
All base covers are two-piece aluminum covers designed to be installed after the pole is installed. Base covers are powder coated to match the light pole they are being installed on. These covers are simple square base covers or round spun aluminum base covers, similar to most supplied base covers. Custom base covers can be designed to fit almost any need.

All Light Pole Systems’ poles are made to order to ensure the correct fit. Our pole lead time is among the quickest for any made-to-order pole, usually in 2-4 weeks.
Light Pole Systems’ light poles are made for each job to meet almost any need. The most requested additional feature is additional holes added to the base plate. This allows new anchor bolts to be epoxied into the footing and to reinforce compromised anchor bolts. Other base plate options include rotated base plates, extra-large bolt circles, and odd bolt patterns.
Light Pole Systems’ light poles are powder coated with standard light pole colors. Custom colors are available. Hot dip galvanizing is available for most poles. All included accessories are coated to match the pole.
All included hardware is stainless steel, aluminum, or coated for corrosion resistance. Anchor bolts are available (sold separately) and can be shipped ahead of the poles.
All poles include two-piece aluminum base covers that are easily installed after the pole is installed. Most all hand hole openings are reinforced with a stiffener and include a grounding lug in the back of the opening. Hand hole covers are aluminum plates with single bolt and backing bar or, double screw with threaded holes in the hand hole stiffener. Patented locking hand hole covers can be built into the pole. Pole caps fit tight on the pole and are secured to the pole with a self-tapping screw. Fixture drilling is available to prevent pole drilling in the field. Pole top fitters are available in standard 2” pipe or a custom configuration.
Light Pole Systems can make many pole types including Square Straight Steel (SSS), Round Straight Steel (RSS), Round Tapered Steel (RTS), Round Straight Aluminum (RSA), and Square Straight Aluminum (SSA) poles. The tallest pole we manufacture is 35 feet tall. We do not make Tapered Aluminum, Cast Aluminum, Concrete, or Wooden poles.
For new constructions or new footings, we have standard light poles. Any customization can be added to each pole. Straight Aluminum and Round Tapered Steel poles are also available.

In the event that Light Pole Systems’ off the shelf Anchor Bolt Adapters will not work, we make Custom Adapter Plates. These custom plates are designed for each order to fit the exact need of the job. Custom Adapter Plates can adjust a bolt circle, rotate a pole, accommodate damaged anchor bolts, or reduce anchor bolt size. Common jobs that require adaptor plates are:
Custom Adapter Plates include hardware to bolt the top plate to the light pole. The bottom plate secures to the footing using existing footing hardware (footing hardware is not included). XL Custom Base Covers (sold separately) are available to cover the adaptor plate and pole base; covering all the hardware and providing a clean finish.
Adapter plates are powder coated to match the light pole they will be installed on. Most light poles have a powder coat finish, however hot dip galvanize is available to match galvanized light poles. Galvanizing provides a better corrosion resistance than powder coat alone, but the additional cost and lead time is not necessary for use with powder coated poles.
All adaptor plates include hardware to bolt the plate to the light pole. Hardware size is determined by the light pole manufacture specification. Adapter plates can use hardware smaller than the original footing anchor bolts but cannot use hardware larger than the original footing anchor bolts. All hardware is hot dip galvanized and is a standard thread pitch for the given size and coating.
Double Stack Adapter Plates
Double stack adaptor plates are the most common design. This design consists of two plates with a center spacer between the plates. This design allows for almost any adjustment and bolt pattern. The bottom plate is made to fit the footing anchor bolt pattern. The top plate is made to match the light pole base plate pattern. In addition to changing bolt circle, other adjustments can be made from additional holes, to rotating the bolt pattern.
Single Adapter Plates (not-stacked)
In some circumstances a single plate can be used. This cuts down on costs and lead time but is only usable for specific applications. The common use of single stack plates is rotating a bolt pattern without changing the bolt circle.
Light Pole Systems makes almost any light pole fixture mounting solution. From multi fixture post top tenons that fit over the pole, to single tenons that fit a new LED fixture to an old pole fixture mounting design, commonly used when mounting new LED fixtures on an old pole.
With our experience, we can design a solution to fit your need. Although a custom solution may be expensive, having the correct part for the job can decrease the time to install new fixtures, saving labor hours.
Light Pole Systems’ Custom Shoebox Light Fixtures are made to match existing fixtures already installed on a property. Rectangular light fixtures can be made with a wide range of sizes to match old fixtures that were damaged, or out of production. Available fixtures include HID lamps, Reflectors only (for use with LED corncob lamps), or empty (for LED Retrofit Kits).
We do not make our own LED light fixtures because there are many great companies with excellent fixtures. We offer LED fixtures with our light poles to provide a turnkey lighting package built for your specific job.
